I'm not a runner. Do not include running on a treadmill for a warm up or to burn some calories in the gym. I am a wife and a mom of an 8th month old baby girl who would like to test and challenge myself in running. I still have those preggy fats that I acquired during my pregnancy I am now weighing 56 kilos from 69 kilos during my last trimester of pregnancy. I still need to shed another 4 kilos or more to get my ideal weight.
It's not easy to loss weight after pregnancy and many would definitely agree. With all the stresses, worries etc I slowly wait for myself to recover and get ready to work hard to be in shape again. Let's check what I've done so far:
1. I do full breastfeeding with my baby for 8 months now. After a month of giving birth with breastfeeding and sleepless nights I loss 8 kilos in just a month and still counting up to now.
2. I quit drinking soda since January 1,2013.
3. I wish I will be religious enough in doing caloric counter every meal. Here's my daily requirement considering I am breastfeeding (at least 1,800 cal/day):
@ least 4 tbsp of rice/ 2 pcs of wheat bread( with spread)/100 to 200 g of pasta every meal
2 servings of vegetables ( salad with at least 2 tbsp dressings, or any cooked veggies)
2 servings of fruits
@ least 200 grams of fish/ meat
1 egg daily
2 glasses of non-fat milk
Snacks (I eat anything I want but with moderation) *wink* cheat day is always welcome
4. I can say I am now a novice in running. I am on my4th week, 3x a week run of 3K. I'm doing it progressively until I can run it straight and aiming for 5k after 3 months.
5. In addition of my activities of daily living to burn calories I I took care of my baby 24/7, do the laundry, cook, clean the house, do the shopping to cut it short I am a full time mom.
6. I try to have time for myself.... At least 2 hours a day doing some work online, facebook etc.
I am so excited in my training with this book as our guide. We will see on how I progress. My husband will be my buddy to this journey. I got a lot of friends who were into running half/full marathon plus a brother who is a fitness instructor/personal trainer/ physical therapist. Therefore, I don't have any reason not to pursue... My purpose is not to loss weight but to build confidence that I can run.... or might be a triathlete. Who knows?

I'm back.....
I've been away from blogging for almost nine months.... Obviously, been from maternity leave.... a valid reason to be out for awhile. Right? Wink***
Well, to everybody I will be posting from my past/ what am I doing/ my happenings/ whereabouts etc.... A blast from the past indeed. So Expect more from it. Yey!
January 28, 2012 our 2nd try for pregnancy test.... Positive. The 1st try was 4 days ago and it was negative... I knew it! I had a terrible feeling for the past days. I felt like my body was so heavy that I can't get up... I sleep a lot during daytime and that's not me. Well, everybody was so happy. All I can remember was my husband and i were so happy, excited, afraid.... Mixed emotions with fear of unknown.

the entrance fee is 100 pesos only ( around 2.5 USD) and its consumable. You can consume it from the fish you get depending on the price per kilo or from their restaurant. It's a hot, fun-filled experience....

Today's thought: Feeling negative?

instead of saying 'i'm not angry , depressed or frustrated ', when deep down you know that you are, admit it yourself and also to someone else in your life, so that it becomes real. negating negativity makes it all the more persistent. recognition of a bad mood dislodges its command over you. instantly you will feel a bit better. it also gives you the chance to think about the causes and address them. you can then draw in positivity instead, and that gives your happiness in firm hold again.

i don't have a journal but im a busy person doing something that i enjoy from household chores, cooking/ baking to outdoor activities and of course trying my best to go to the gym. doing more physical activities can strengthen our body, increase our endurance from stress and improves our perspective to live in healthy lifestyle. i just love the feeling of being active and have sometime to relax like having a massage, sauna bath or spa.... wheeew! that's life!

day 12... notice goodness
Notice all the goodness in the world and it will lift your spirits. it's so easy to get lost in gloom and doom. The news in media generally tend to concentrate on bad news. It's more sensational and it holds the public's attention. As is often stated, 'bad news sells newspapers.'
Keep a sense of perspective. There are huge amounts of good fortune, happiness, love and positivity around you, both close at hand and in the wider world. Look out for the goodness and you'll see it's not delusional to believe in it, it's all around you.
Remembering and recognizing the amazing wealth of goodness in people counters cynicism and gives you a wonderful feeling of uplift.

day eleven. revel in sound
instant happy: Listen to birdsong
notice all the different kinds of birdsong early in the morning. be glad that it's there to be heard and that you can hear it.
sound is often the first thing we noticed when we wake up. this is probably because we've been woken up by it and feel we'd like to linger in bed a little longer. choose to let the sound make you happy rather than annoyed.
instead of being annoyed trying to block sounds out or complaining about them, put a positive spin on them...
mine is i woke up by the alarm clock from my phone. with all honestly its annoying but after a second i just realized this is going to be a great day....!
when im in our hometown it could be my baby dora, my brother's dog kimi , the birds chirping woke me up or my mother's voice saying its time for breakfast.... i miss them all....

day 10....... is your path right?
today's thought:
keep a journal. Use your daily journal to assess the way your life is going.
every year I received journal either from a friend, corporate gift, freebies or giveaways. at least i got one or two. I seldom write on a daily basis but most of the time im using the calendar on it and mark all the events, expenses, birthdays anything about me so that when the time i need some data I will refer on my calendar and even do have realizations of what was happening to me in the previous months.
im good with a desk calendar.... just simply like that.

day 9 -- to have a happy day..... enjOy anti-ci-pa-tioN
delay some of today's small pleasures and enjoy the extra anticipation this gives you. even something as mundane as a cup of coffee will be more delicious if you wait a while for it and are able to look forward to it. instead of commonplace, it becomes a treat, a gift to yourself, a reward for work well done.
delayed gratification will also enlighten your sense, so it's a way both of adding to, and heightened, pleasure. and exercising will-power feels good, too. instead of taking a 'must have it now' attitude , decide when you are going to have something and be glad to wait for it.....

siquijor is indeed a must see place. i already feature siquijor the other day and this is the highlight of our entire trip...

You need to register at the barangay/ registration office then pay for the guide fees (500 pesos/ 12 USD) and they will provide hard hat and light torch. The guide will assist you the entire cave adventure.

its about 1.5 km cave adventure and we were the only group inside. At first i was so scared and i know im not the only one who had that feeling being there the first time. But its all worth it seeing all those wonderful things that we can't imagine underneath. We started around 1 pm and went out 3 pm.... it was the most amazing and the highlight of our siquijor trip..... 'til next time....! will come back siquijor soon...............

I was not able to write the day 6 ways to be everyday happy. For me its a bit drama. its says

8 eight, ate! beach --- siquijor!
Honestly i am so confused of what my blog is all about. At first I wanted to feature the beautiful beaches of cebu, philippines until i posted my interest like baking and even personal events about my wedding and so on.... wheew!
so its now leisure i treasure..... everything about anything.
and for now im on my 7th beach...
siquijor, philippines
i ♥ ♡ ♥ and will definitely come back with this beautiful island.... i love everything here..... its so laidback, quiet, people are so nice and the place has so much to show.....
Going to siquijor is so easy. From cebu city you can take a plane ride(30mins) to Dumaguete city or a private car ( 2 hours), bus ride( more or less 3 hours) to Liloan and then another 45 mins fast craft ride to Sibulan, Dumaguete city. From Dumaguete city you will ride a ferry about 1 and half hour going to Siquijor.
We spent overnight in Dumaguete city before going to Siquijor the next day and we enjoyed the place and of course the foodAH!...
travel advisory: You should always check the schedules of the ferry especially going back to city from siquijor because there might be changes.
